Problems of regional encyclopedian science are under discussion in Ufa

All-Russian scientific conference “Historical experience and actual problems in development of Russian regional encyclopedian science” is opened in Ufa Congress-Hall on September 27. It is initiated by the publishing house “Bashkir Encyclopedia” under the Academy of Sciences RB and representatives of many Russian regions and some CIS states are taking part in its work. The conference is dated to completion of the seven-volume “Bashkir Encyclopedia”.

During two days participants of the forum will discuss various aspects of history and development of Russian encyclopedian science and preparation of universal, thematic and personal regional encyclopedias.

The previous conferences, devoted to development of regional encyclopedian science, were held in Saint-Petersburg (2003), Kazan (2006) and Cheboksary (2007).
