Young people of Ufa gathered to take part in an action against extremism

A meeting of Muslim youth within the frames of the action “Islam against Extremism” has taken place in Ufa near Salavat Ulaev monument. The action is called to explain values of traditional Islam to young people in order to prevent them from turning to radicalism. Such action is held in Russia for the first time.

The meeting began with Koran reading and Muslim prayers. After that the chairman of the Clerical Muslim Dept RB, mufti Nurmukhamet Nigmatullin spoke before comers.

The meeting was continued with the show with participation of Bashkir pop stars: Aidar Galimov, Robert Uldashev, Ilgiz and others. Their performances will be accompanied with talks about traditional Islam, contests, quizzes and speeches of local religious activists.
