Conference “50 plus: all pluses of mature age” to be held in Ufa

International conference “50 plus: all pluses of mature age” will be held in Ufa on September 18-19, press service of Ministry for labor and population social protection reported.

Representatives of Russian authority, World Health Organization, international and all-Russian public organizations, experts in sphere of ageing and business people fr om Switzerland, Greece, Ecuador, Canada, Uganda, the Great Britain and Ireland will take part in it. The seminar, held by special guest from Geneva Lisa Warth – coordinator of World Health Organization community “City of All Ages”, represents special interest.

In 2007 the town of Tuimazy (Baskiria) has become the first Russian settlement, which joined the WHO project “The city, wh ere old age is not a trying stage”. Practically all towns of Bashkiria joined the project in 2011. Participation I the project demands to change ideology and way of mind towards older generation. The first results of such change in public consciousness can be already seen in Tuimazy and certain positive experience in this direction is observed in Ufa and some other Republican towns.
