Russian sportsmen, students of the Bashkir State Pedagogical University Oksana Savchenko and Alexander Nevolin-Svetov won 100-meter backstroke heats at Paralympic Games-2012 in London this evening.
Savchenko has won already the fourth golden medal at these Games, leaving Natalie Pronina from Azerbaijan behind (1:07,99 against 1:09,46). Hanna Russell from the Great Britain was the third (1:10,84). It is worth mentioning that Oksana Savchenko is already the sevenfold Paralympic champion.
Nevolin-Svetov left Tucker Dupree from the United States behind (59,35 against 1:01,36). Sergey Klippert from Ukraine was the third.
Both Bashkir Paralympic champions have broken new world records at these distances.
