Ufa will hold junior ice hockey world championship-2013 suitably

A work meeting of the organizing committee of the junior ice hockey world championship-2013 has taken place on Wednesday, August 29, under chairmanship of the President RB Rustem Khamitov.. The championship will take place in Ufa in December 26-January 5, 2013.

The President of Russian Hockey Federation Vladislaw Tretyak, the Minister of youth policy and sport RB Andre Ivanuta and Ufa Mayor Irek Yalalov have also taken part in the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting Rustem Khamitov highlighted the key problems.

“As far as I understand, “Ufa-Arena” is completely ready for the championship” – the head of the Republic mentioned – “Reconstruction of the Sports Palace is also close to the end. We have to pay closer attention to work with sponsors, since we are short of time. I am not satisfied with work in this sphere and would like to listen to your reports concerning that”.

“This is a remarkable event not only for your Republic but for the whole of Russia as well” – Vladislaw Tretyak mentioned – “Even the President of the country plays hockey. Thank you all that continue developing hockey. For a short period of time you managed to form a female hockey team here. Female hockey is an Olympic kind of sport and by the Olympic Games in Sochi-2014 we have to prepare a worthy team. 10 countries will send their junior teams to the championship in Ufa – this is the future of the world hockey. The championship will take place on the eve of Sochi Olympic Games and we must prepare a good team. I’ve inspected the course of preparation for the championship in Ufa and I have no doubts that we will hold this tournament on the highest level”- M-r Tretyak said.

In opinion of all participants of the meeting the problem with the general sponsor remains the weakest point. This problem is still found in the process of solution.

Ufa Mayor Irek Yalalov has told about beautification of the territories around the main arenas of the future championship. Problems of transportation for teams and tourists during the championship, work with sponsors, medical services and security as well as the cultural program were also under discussion at the meeting. All works are running according to the schedule. Bashkortostan has to prepare itself for the world hockey forum in the strictly predetermined terms, Rustem Khamitov stated.
