Rustem Khamitov demanded to dismiss the director of "Ufa" airport for callous relation to passengers

At the International Airport "Ufa" disabled passengers are treated inattentively, moreover their rights are ignoreed. Next such case occurred on August 18, when the inhabitant of Ufa Svetlana Mustafina came back from Moscow with her disabled child after orthopedic surgery (flight No.151 Transaero airlines).

At boarding in Moscow stewards of Transaero Company took away a wheel-chair from Svetlana Mustafina and assured her that she would be given it back at the exit from the plane at the Ufa airport. Despite her requests, the wheel-chair was not returned to Svetlana Mustafina at the exit from the plane in Ufa. Stewards explained that they would give her the wheel-chair together with luggage and suggested her to move the child by herself to the place of luggage delivery.

Having reached the place of luggage delivery, Svetlana Mustafina set the son on an armchair and went for her luggage. During this moment the child lost his balance, fell onto the concrete floor and hurt his head.

Svetlana Mustafina asserts that the similar situation occurs only at the Ufa airport. It is confirmed by the similar case with Evgenie Trubachev when employees of the Ufa airport did not give him his wheel-chair at the exit from the plane. After broad public response the management of the International airport "Ufa" reported that all measures were taken for comfortable service of passengers. However, despite it, the stream of complaints against the activity of the airport employees does not stop.

Svetlana Mustafina, the mother of suffered disabled child Ivan Chigasov, addressed to the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov with the complaint against workers of the Ufa airport.

In this connection the press-service of the President RB circulated a statement for mass-media in which it is said the following:

«The President of Bashkortostan Republic regularly receives complaints against employees of the International airport "Ufa", connected with callous and unsympathetic relation to people with with disabilities, elderly people, to passengers with small children. Rustem Khamitov gave a commission to corresponding bodies of the republican Government to look into the developed practice of ignoring of legitimate rights of citizens in the territory of the air-terminal complex. The head of the republic demanded bringing to responsibility the general director of Ufa airport Ramil Timirgazin, as much as his dismissal from the post, for inability and unwillingness to organise work of the airport personnel with the passengers requiring help and support. The President marked that the main thing in work of transport agencies is fair and decent relation to people, and only then — industrial and financial indicators».
