From the season beginning 205 forest fires occurred in Bashkiria

From the beginning of the year 205 forest fires are registered already in Bashkortostan. The total area which was destroyed by fire reached almost 1426 hectares.

From 205 forest fires 33 occurred due to careless handling with fire, 102 – from lightning discharges, two – at the places of timber-harvesting operations, four — because of agricultural burnings, the press-service of the Ministry of Forestry RB reports. The causes of occurrence of others 64 fires are still under investigation.

“For the last days in the territory of Bashkortostan four forest fires were liquidated — in Burzyansky and Sterlitamaksky forest areas. The total area of forest which was destroyed by fire exceeded here 28 hectares. Also two ignitions in the Avzyansky and Beloretsky forest areas are localized, which total area makes 1,4 hectares,” the press-secretary of the Ministry of Forestry RB Aibulat Gainullin informed the "Bashinform" agency.

Besides, two fires in Inzersky (7,5 hectares) and in Beloretsky (0,3 hectares) forest areas are blazing now. Works on their extinguishing are conducted at the moment.
