16 sportsmen from Bashkortostan will take part in Paralympic Games-2012

16 sportsmen from Bashkortostan will participate as a part of the Russian national team in XIV Summer Paralympic Games, which will be held in the capital of the Great Britain from August 29 till September 9. They will try to win awards in 3 kinds of sports: track and field athletics, swimming and fencing.
Among them there are athletes — Elena Pautova, Alexey Labzin, Andrey Koptev, Anna Sorokina, Albert Asadullin, Ildar pomykalov, Andrey Zhirnov, Anastasiya Ovsyannikova, Aigul Sahibzadaeva, swimmers — Oksana Savchenko, Alexander Nevolin-Svetov, Michael Zimin, fencers — Marat Yusupov, Ivan Andreev, Timur Hamatshin, Timur Faizullin.
Coaches Peter Builov (track and field athletics), Igor Tveryakov (swimming), Farit Arslanov (fencing) and the director of the Training Center of the Highest Sportsmanship RB Evgenie Yemelyanov will go to London too, the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports RB informs.
It is expected that in total 4200 sportsmen from 160 countries of the world will arrive for the Paralympic Games in the Great Britain which will compete for 503 complete sets of awards in 20 kinds of sports.
In Paralympic Games-2008 in Beijing the Russian national team included 17 sportsmen from our republic. Then they won nine medals.
