Ilya Pervuhin – the eighth hope of Bashkiria – starts at the Olympic Games-2012
The next-to-last hope of Bashkortostan at the Olympic Games in London-2012 starts on Tuesday, August 7. On the rowing channel in competitions of canoe-pair Ilya Pervuhin will take part together with Alexey Korovashkov. Russians should show their better qualities at the distance of 1000 metres. Today a preliminary round and a semi-final are to be held.
It should be mentioned that other seven sportsmen related to Bashkiria unfortunately did not manage to show their best performance – swimmer Anton Anchin, foilsmen Renal Ganeev and Arthur Ahmathuzin, runners Egor Nikolaev and Liliya Shobuhova, weight-lifter Dmitry Klokov and more successful than others Elena Savelyeva – (quarterfinal in women’s boxing) at the Games-2012.
On August 12, one more Bashkir sportsman Grigoriy Andreyev starts in marathon.
