Not everybody heard emergency signals in Bashkiria

On July 26, a technical check of the regional Public Address and General Alarm system in Bashkortostan Republic was conducted. All available electric sirens in the republic territory were involved in the action (there are more than 380 of them). Cars with loudspeakers established on them ran in the remote areas which did not get into a cover zone of the general signal.

Having heard such signal, each inhabitant of the republic should switch on radio or TV and listen to the spot news. Today it called for peace and order, explaining, that a check was conducted. At occurrence of real threat, specific instructions will be given to the population, interim officer, colonel of the Main Directorate of the Ministry for Emergency Measures of Russia on RB Zakir Khuzyakhmetov explained.

Unfortunately, for today electric sirens are established not in all parts of the republic where it is necessary. Exact data of results of the check will appear later, but already now it is possible to say that the alarm signal was heard not by all inhabitants of the region. In total in the capital of the republic there are more than hundred points of alarm signal. About 30 devices more are required to notify in time all townspeople.

Also the agreement with the companies, rendering cellular communication services on urgent dispatch of sms-messages during emergencies is reached. Today only regional communication providers participated in the check, but in case of real danger also the federal companies will join the system.
