Rustem Khamitov congratulated Ufa participants and prize-winners of Summer International Children’s Games-2012

To begin with, I would like to congratulate you all on participation in such large competition. It is high level. Well, and especially I would like to congratulate those children who won awards. All of you are good fellows! the President of Bashkortostan Republic Rustem Khamitov marked at the meeting with participants of 46 Summer International Sports Games in South Korea.

The present championship in Daegu gathered at sports arenas more than one and a half thousand sportsmen from 35 countries of the world. The program of competitions included seven kinds of sports; our athletes took part in four: tennis, swimming, track and field athletics and taekwondo.

Our boys and girls in swimming and race were in the top ten, in tennis duet of Sofia Dobronevskaya and Elvira Galieva became the fourth.

But in taekwondo Ufa athletes won awards of all types: "gold" by Aydar Usmanov and Elvina Khakimova, "silver" by Evelina Musabirova, "bronze" by Ivan Kortunov.

Having asked the children, whether they like winter sports, the President marked that they would be able to take part and in local Winter Games of 2013 and, probably, to win medals there.

We should remind that the IV Winter International Children's Games start in our city on February 26, 2013.
