State Fire Supervision Authority of Russia celebrates its anniversary

On July 18, it is 85th anniversary from the date of formation of the state fire inspection. July, 18, 1927 is considered as the date of the department formation when the first provision on the bodies of the state fire inspection of RSFSR was accepted. The given provision defined behind a certain activity directions of the fire service, including, precautionary and preventive measures.

In 2004 the Directorate of the State Fire Supervision Authority of the Ministry for Emergency Measures of Russia on RB was formed. In 2010 Directorate of the State Fire Supervision was renamed into Directorate of Supervisory Activity.

Now the state fire supervision is carried out by 60 local divisions, sixteen from them are departments on protection of large cities and areas of the republic and 44 branches on protection of municipal areas, the press-service Chief Directorate of the Ministry for Emergency Measures of Russia on RB informs.

Among subjects of the Volga Federal District in the republic the greatest indicator of objects of supervision is in the field of civil defense – 2183 and in the field of emergency situations — 1359.
