The first in the Great Britain Sabantuy will be held in London

On Saturday, July 14, in London the national feast Sabantuy will take place for the first time in the history of the Great Britain which will gather Tatar-Bashkir diaspora of the Foggy Albion, natives of Tatarstan and Bashkortostan, students of two sister republics studying there. The London Sabantuy will take place on the golf field of Wembley Park. A special bus will run to the park from underground station «Wembley Park» (Jubilee and Metropolitan Line), Tatar-Inform news agency reports.

In the holiday program there is a solemn raising of Tatarstan flag, a pilaf-break, national games (run with a yoke, fight on the log with bags, lifting of weights, taking coins from the bottom of a vessel with katyk (national dairy product) etc.).

Arrival of visitors from Germany, Belgium, Baltics, Russia and other countries is expected.

Association of Tatars of the United Kingdom acts as an organizer of the first in London Sabantuy, initiators of the local holiday informed.
