Memorial cabinet of Alexander Eigenson to be opened at Institute of oil-chemical processing

Memorial cabinet of the founder of the Institute of oil-chemical processing RB Alexander Eigenson will be opened at the Institute on Monday, July 16.

Technical library of Alexander Eigenson as well as his portraits and photos will become the main exhibits of the future museum.

Alexander Eigenson was born on July 15, 1912, in the town of Armavir. He was organizer and the first director of the Bashkir Scientific-Research Institute of oil-chemical processing (1956-1959, 1963-1976).

With participation of Eigenson the program for foundation of chemical, oil-chemical industry and oil-refining industry in Bashkiria has been elaborated at the end of 50s. For the first time the technologies for deep processing of sulfur-bearing oil, including its high-boiling distillates, have been designed in the Soviet Union and classifications of oils of Volga zone, South Ural and Siberia has been specified too.
