The tribute to the memory of colleagues died 10 years ago in the crash over Bodensee was paid at "Ufa" airport

In the Ufa International airport the mourning ceremony devoted to the memory of victims of an air crash over Bodensee, occurred ten years ago at night from July 1 to 2, 2002 took place on Monday. That tragic night at collision of "Tu-154" plane of Bashkir airlines and freight aircraft «Boing-757» 71 people died.

Crews of both planes became victims of the accident. There were 52 children among the died Russians. These were children flying on their summer holidays to Spain and adults accompanying them.

The memorial meeting passed at the monument to the crew which did not come back from this drama flight. Representatives of Ufa airport and the airlines located in its territory laid flowers and a wreath to the memorial bottom and held a moment of silence. Pilots and stewards who were onboard of the crashed plane, served in the 1st aircraft division of Bashkir airlines. These twelve people were the best, very competent and skilled experts of the airlines.

We should remind that the main cause of the accident defined by investigation was an error of an air traffic controller from the Swiss company "SkyGuide". Due to a strong blow at collision in the night sky over Germany «Tu-154» collapsed in air into several parts which fell in the vicinities of the German city of Uberlingen. The memorial is established on the tragedy place. Now there mourning events with participation of Bashkortostan delegation and relatives of victims are taking place.
