In August an International Air Transport Forum will be held in Russia

Representatives of aviation branch are invited to participate in the II International Air Transport Forum «MATF-2012» which will take place on August 23-25 in Ulyanovsk in the airport "Vostochny" territory.

— «MATF» is a large aviation event of the country along with traditional International Aviation and Space Salon in Zhukovsky (MAKS). Since 2012, the terms of carrying out of air shows will alternate: «MATF» on even years, "MAKS" – on odd years, the website of the Bashkortostan State Committee on Traffic and Road Facilities informs. — The forum purpose is to organize interaction of aviation sphere experts, representatives of public authorities and companies of aviation sector of Russia to decide tasks and advance business initiatives in civil aviation, in the field of cargo and passenger transportations, preparation of aviation human resources, maintenance of transport availability in the remote regions of the country.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Transport RF are among organizers of the event.

The forum program includes an international congress and exhibition, a forum of small aircraft, a youth air forum «I am a pilot», competitions in aviation kinds of sports, an air show with participation of flight groups.
