Three fourth of Bashkir roads aren’t meant for modern loads

The lion’s share of questions to the chairman of the state committee RB for transport and road economy Ilyas Munirov during his today’s online conference on the site of “The Public Electronic Newspaper” was devoted to quality of Republican roads. During one hour the chairman has managed to answer more than 25 questions concerning work of surface, water and air transport, organization of passenger transportations and promising directions in activity of road economy in a whole.

“All our roads were designed and built in due time for the loads, also existing that time. 73% of regional, inter-municipal and local roads are meant for 6-ton-load but what does that mean – 6 tons? It means that these roads are meant for transportation of just hay and firewood. Now 40- and 60-ton trucks drive these roads and, sure, they can’t stand such load”.

Ilyas Munirov has reported that the strategy for development of roads in Republic of Bashkortostan till 2030 is worked up at present time and admissible loads for every sector of Republican roads will be determined in it.
