An anti-tobacco cycle race has taken place in Sibay

The cycle race “Sibay against tobacco factory of death” has taken place in Sibay and representatives of youth, including students, businessmen, ecologists, workers and medics, were taking part in it. Initiators of the cycle race prepared special posters about harm of tobacco and appealed to local administration with the demand to equalize tobacco business with drug one. The posters were placed on the main town square near the supposed site of future tobacco factory and on the border with Chelyabinsk region near the settlement Kizil.

“The main task of our authority is to make the right choice and to refuse from cooperation with tobacco manufacturers” – one of the initiators of the race, co-chairman of the movement “Sober Bashkortostan” Robert Davletshin said to “Bashinform” – “In 2010 Vladimir Putin has approved the anti-tobacco concept. The President o Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has said, talking to graduates of the Russian Politics School in Republic of Bashkortostan, discussing the project “Republic without Tobacco”, that it is especially important on the background of that power, which the anti-tobacco movement acquires both in the country and in the world”.
