Bashkir volunteers prepare for the Olympic Games in London

Bashkir volunteers prepare for the summer Olympic Games-2012 in London. Among lucky persons, who have successfully passed the contest, there are the volunteers of the Bashkir State Medical University – Tatiana Boiko, Alina Trusova and Julia Fomina. Our girls are included into the “Golden 100” of volunteers and will participate in Olympic and Paralympic Games in London. Originally all candidates have passed serious selection in Ufa and Moscow. All candidates have passed interlocution in English language. According to its results several candidatures were chosen. But before their approval they have been again tested by representatives of the organizing committee of the Olympic Games in Sochi-2014.

In October 2011 representatives of Bashkortostan took part in the first all-Russian gathering of volunteer Olympic movement in Sochi. Within the frames of the gathering the best Russian volunteers have been selected for the national team in London Games. Our girls have successfully passed interlocutions with the representatives of the organizing committee “London-2012” and the organizing committee “Sochi-2014”that time. The results were positive.

For the reference: The program of training of Olympic volunteers is one of the wide-scaled projects of the organizing committee “Sochi-2014”. During Olympic Games in Sochi about 2500 volunteers in more than 20 spheres of activity will be involved. Besides, about 3000 volunteers will help the guests to move between Olympic objects. In whole volunteers will make up more than 30% of the whole Games personnel.

Volunteers are recruited through 26 centers, established on the base of Russian education institutions, preliminarily chosen, including Bashkir State Medical University.

Any person at the age of 18-80 may become a volunteer.
