Electronic exchange of letters between citizens and the state will be launched already in May

Russian residents will receive information about consideration of their appeals to state bodies to personal e-mail boxes and such state electronic mail system expected to be launched already in May.

“We’ve already built up such instrument and intend to launch it in May” – the Minister for communication and mass communications of Russia Igor Shegolev stated – “It will be the channel of our two-sided communication with citizens. Every citizen will have one e–email box and in such case the state will be able to inform this citizen concerning the destiny of his or her appeals to state bodies”.

The unified portal of electronic democracy will start working also in the middle of 2012 and it will be one more method of feedback between functionaries and population. Thanks to this portal citizens will be able to estimate current activity of the authority and come out with their own public initiatives.
