Republican clinical oncology dispensary activates cooperation with scientists from Japan

The Professor Kazuo Umezava, specializing in designing of anti-oncology preparations, read a lecture at the Republican clinical oncology dispensary. The Professor introduced the preparation DHMEQ – an active inhibitor in struggle with neoplasms and inflammatory processes.

As the Professor mentioned, his laboratory closely cooperates with the Republican dispensary and in the nearest future they intend to study this preparation jointly. Further consolidation of cooperation between the dispensary and scientists from different countries, including Japan, will contribute to development of the Republican oncology service, the head of the clinic and the chair of oncology of the dispensary Shamil Gantsev said.

In 2011 the index of oncology sickness rate in Bashkiria was equal to 278,5 cases per 100 thousand people – by 0,4% lower than in 2010. Breast cancer stands on the first place in sickness rate structure – 12% and lung cancer – on the second (11%). About 90% of lung cancer cases are caused by smoking.
