More than 2400 mercury lamps was collected in the northwest of Bashkiria

The only in Bashkiria movable point for collection of mercury-containing wares – the so-called eco-truck – has collected more than 2400 mercury lamps and thermometers in the towns of Agidel, Yanaul and Neftekamsk.

The engineer-ecologist of the state unitary enterprise “TABIGAT” Albina Shamsutdinova reports that the luminescent lamps made up the lion’s share of the wares, collected by the eco-truck – more than 2280 pieces. Energy-saving lamps and thermometers made up all the rest.

All lamps and thermometers, collected by the eco-truck, have already been delivered for the special site for utilization of dangerous waste, located in the town of Sterlitamac.

This was the first raid of the movable reception point for collection of mercury-containing wares in 2012. In 2011 the eco-truck has made about 30 raids in the republic, collecting more than 7 thousand luminescent and energy-saving lamps on the Republican territory.
