Presentation of book “The School of Bashkir Throat Singing” will take place in Ufa

Meeting with popular folk musician Robert Zagretdinov will take place on February 29 in the book shop of the publishing house “KITAP” (October Avenue, 2). The author will make presentation of his book “The School of Bashkir Throat Singing” and after that he will tell about traditions of Bashkir throat singing, called “uzlau”.

Robert Zagretdinov is a laureate of Salavat Ulaev Award, laureate of all-Russian and Republican festivals “Folk Art Pearls” and the winner of many international throat singing festivals. Besides, he is the inventor of original models of jew’s harp. He published several solo record of jew’s harp music. He has become the winner of G. Soros International Award for his book “The School of Jew’s Harp Play”.

Presentation will start at 16 o’clock.
