Five illegal casinos reported closed in Sterlitamac

Wide-scaled operation on struggle with illegal gaming industry has taken place in the town of Sterlitamac. For several hours Bashkir policemen have liquidated five illegal casinos at once. More than 100 one-armed bandits have been arrested.

Practically all liquidated casinos were working in closed mode. One of such casinos was located inside a poolroom, where more than 30 slot machines were installed behind the double metal doors. The policemen have also arrested many documents and video surveillance records.

Similar actions are regularly held in other towns and regions of the Republic. Some days ago policemen have liquidated three underground casinos in Ufa, arresting more than 50 slot machines. At present time experts examine all data collected and according to results of their investigation the decision concerning bringing the initiators to the book, set by the federal law, will be made, the press-service of the Ministry for internal affairs in Republic of Bashkortostan reports.
