Regional assembly of health protection organizations to be established in Bashkiria

The first meeting of Health Protection Organizations Assembly “Medicine RB-2012” will take place on Friday, February 24, at the State Council-Kurultay-RB.

In opinion of Professor Shamil Gantsev, the head of the chair of oncology and surgery of the Bashkir State Medical University, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences RB this new public organization is called to protect the interests of professional medical community, actively taking part in discussion of the laws in sphere of health protection and working up its own proposals concerning improvement of the medical branch’s quality.

“Doctors – our contemporaries – mustn’t stay aside of politics, they have to determine their own leaders themselves and we want to see the medical community among those leaders, who decide the destiny of the state” – he said.

The Medical League RB, which came out as the initiator of such Assembly, is established as a public-political instrument, able to solve systematical tasks of health protection already today. The Medical League intends to achieve its goals through big events of regional, all-Russian and international scale – congresses, forums, conference, public expertise and law-making initiatives in sphere of health protection; advancement and delegating of its candidates to legislative and executive power bodies , assistance to foundation of the structures, able to solve complex and systematical tasks.

The exhibition “Industry of Health Protection RB – Look into the Future” will be held within the frames of the Assembly.
