Selection of volunteers to Olympic Games in Sochi officially starts today

Steering committee “Sochi-2014” starts mass recruitment of volunteers to the Olympic Games in Sochi. The official site of the Olympic Games reports about it and reception of applications for the right to become a volunteer is officially opened today on the site www.vol.sochi2014.com.

About 25 thousand volunteers will work in Sochi during the Games in more than 20 spheres of activity, making up about 30% of the Games’ personnel.

As the news agency “Bashinform” reported earlier, volunteers will be recruited through 26 volunteer centers, established on the base of preliminary selected Russian institutes, including the Bashkir State Medical University, which has to train 350 volunteers.

The main requirements to candidates are the following: Recruit has to be 18 years old and possess fluent English. Those volunteers, whose questionnaires meet the requirements, will be invited to pass various tests and interlocutions in one of the volunteer centers.
