The President of the World Games Ron Froilich will visit Bashkortostan

The visit of the delegation RB, headed by the Prime-Minister of the Government RB Azamat Ilimbetov, to Columbia, is over. From January 24 to January 27, 2012, Bashkir delegation was taking part in the gathering of the steering committee for preparation and holding the World Games-2013 in the town of Santiago de Kali, the press-service of the Government RB reports.

The Games include non-Olympic kinds of sport, i.e. those kinds of sport, which aren’t included into the Olympic program, such as: Wushu, karate, sports dances, sky surfing, jujitsu, softball, Rugby, bowling, power lifting and many others.

Columbia has won the right to hold the World Games in 2013 and Poland – in 2017. At the last meeting the Games’ steering committee was discussing wide range of questions concerning Games’ organization, schedule, rules etc. Presentation of Bashkortostan as one of the competitors for the right to hold the Games on its territory in 2021 has taken place there too.

The President of the World Games Ron Froilich expressed the desire to visit Ufa in June to discuss possible prospects of our Republic for holding this international sports forum.
