Recruitment of volunteers for Olympic Games in Sochi will start in Bashkiria on February 7

The mass recruitment of volunteers for the Olympic Games in Sochi is scheduled on February 2012, the deputy director of the Bashkir State Medical University’s volunteer center Alina Trusova reported to “Bashinform”.

“Volunteers will be recruited through 26 volunteer centers, located at the Russian education institutions, preliminary selected by the special contest. More than 100 institutes and colleges participated in the competition. Only two institutes – the Bashkir State Medical University and the Kazan State Technical University by A.N. Tupolev – have become the winners among all institutes of Volga federal district” – she said.

Volunteers will be trained in 11 directions: “Transport”, “Medicine”, “Doping-control”, Servicing of delegations and teams, protocol, linguistic services”, “Technologies”, “Ceremonies”, “Communication and the press”, “Administrative activity and accreditation”, “Service”, “Work with spectators” and “Paralympic specifics”.

The Bashkir State Medical University has to train 350 volunteers.

Alina Trusova has added that the site for registration of candidates to volunteers will be opened foreverybody but its address is still kept in secret and preliminary selection doesn’t mean that a young man or a young girl will be officially recruited.

Besides, young people have to be ready for hard work but at the same time they’ll have time to visit the Olympic competitions. The steering committee will provide the volunteers with the unique uniforms, which can’t be bough in any shop, free meals, accommodations and tickets.
