44 new cams are watching observance of traffic rules in Ufa

The automated center for monitoring the observance of the traffic rules started working in Ufa, the Republican traffic police reports. The center processes the data fr om the cams, installed on the Ufa roads. 40 new cams are mounted on the crossroads in the city, wh ere the heaviest traffic is registered, and on the Orenburg’s highway near the trade center “Metro”.

“In 2011 no traffic accidents, accompanied by severe traumas, have been registered by the cams, used since 2008. The analysis of the cam data shows that the number of traffic accidents is steadily going down” – the traffic police press-service reports.

For one day the cams register about 150-800 violations of the traffic rules – mainly the insignificant excesses of the speed limit. For the last year the employees of the center have written out 127 thousand fines for the sum of 34 million rubles.
