Field lectures on traditional Islam are over in Bashkiria

Regular series of the lectures, devoted to Islamic basics, are over in Bashkortostan. The lectures were organized by the Council for state and inter-religious relations under the President RB, the Clerical Muslim Dept RB, the Bashkir State Pedagogical University by M. Akmullah and by the Islamic College by Miriam Sultanova. The courses were conducted with the purpose of raising the spiritual and moral culture of the Republican citizens, popularization of traditional Islam and prevention of religious radicalism.

The Clerical Muslim Dept RB reports the lectures were meant for wide circles of population: students, pupils, parishioners and pedagogues.

The lectures were read by the chairman of the Clerical Muslim Dept RB, mufti Nurmukhamet Nigmatullin, his deputies Aup Bibarsov and Ruslan Sayakhov, the head of the Clerical Department's youth office Ainur Arslanov, director of the Islamic College by Miriam Sultanova Ildar Malakhov, professors from the scientific center "Development of Muslim Education" under the Bashkir State Pedagogical University and by the Arab sheikhs, sent to Bashkortostan by the International Islamic University "Al-Azkhar" (Egypt).

It is expected the lectures will be continued in 2012.
