Rustem Khamitov has held a meeting of the steering committee for preparation and holding of the VI winter international children's games in Ufa

On December 16 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has held a meeting of the steering committee, responsible for preparation and holding of the VI winter international children's games-2013 in Ufa. Members of the Bashkir Government, heads of the Republican ministries and departments have taken part in it.

“We should provide for the highest level of holding these competitions – Rustem Khamitov stated - “We've determined the dates of the games – the 26th of February – the 3rd of March, 2013. We've already discussed this theme with the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev during his last visit to Ufa on November 19. He has supported us and also supported the variant of erection of a sheltered skating ring, meant for 1500 seats, in Ufa. Now we are negotiating this subject with the Russian Ministry of sport and the Russian Ministry for regional development. We are also negotiating with the General Secretary for international children's games M-r Richard Smith. He will arrive in the Republic in the middle of January”.

According to the President RB the Ministry for youth policy and sport RB announced the contest for the best draft emblem ad talisman of the future games. The results of this contest will be summed up at the end of January 2012. The volunteers from the Republican institutes with good knowledge of English language will be chosen too.

“Here we facing many positions we have to work with. We have just 13 months ahead and the schedule of works is very intense” - the President RB said at the end of the meeting.
