The school stage of the Olympiads in mathematics and the surrounding world for Uri Gagarin Cup starts in Ufa

The school stage of the Olympiads for Uri Gagarin Cup starts with the mathematical competition. It starts today at 11 o'clock in the morning with the participation of junior pupils from several schools of Ufa. On Wednesday, December 7, the pupils have to answer the questions to the theme “The surrounding world”.

As the news agency “Bashinform” reported earlier, this marathon of intellectuals is a constituent part of the international children contest “My Cosmic World”, established by the Russian-German Friendship Society “Bashkortostan-Germany” and held under the patronage of the twice Hero of the Soviet Union, the pilot-cosmonaut of the USSR, Colonel-General of the Russian Air Forces Vladimir Kovalenok, the General Director of the state historical-cultural museum-reserve “Moscow Kremlin” Elena Gagarina and the chairman of the charity fund “MARKHAMAT” Gulshat Khamitova.

The Olympiad consists of three stages: the school stage, the regional stage and the city stage.

Winners and prize-owners will be rewarded with state diplomas of three degrees and with the special prizes.

The Olympiad is established by the leading institutes of the Republic, Ufa administration, and by the society “Bashkortostan-Germany” and held under the patronage of the Union of Rectors RB with the assistance of the Presidential Administration RB, the Ministry of education RB, “United Russia” regional division, the Russian Cosmonautics Federation and the regional division of “The all-Russian pedagogical assembly”.
