A “simulation” center for training of obstetricians and gynecologists will start working in Bashkiria

The center for training of gynecologists and obstetricians will start working in Ufa in 2012. The center will be located in the clinics of the Bashkir State Medical University. The Republican budget will pay for a half of the project – 34 million rubles and the federal exchequer has to pay the second half.

At the expense of the federal means the training center for gynecologists and obstetricians will be supplied with the special module center. It will be delivered for the region approximately in June 2012 and the chief obstetrician RB Alexander Afanasiev says this training center will be maximally close to the reality.

“The staff of this complex includes special dummies and with the help of these dummies young specialists will learn how to assist in childbirth, how to make cesarean operation and various reanimation procedures. At that the dummies can make sounds, speak and answer the questions of medics and if a doctor makes something wrong, the dummy will inform him about his incorrect actions”.The chief obstetrician has also said today during the press-conference, held by the editorial staff of the newspaper “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, that every month the center will train only ten specialists. It looks senseless to enlarge this number since the maximally high result in training can be achieved only with the minimal number of trainees.
