All-Russian forum for social tourism to be held in Ufa

The all-Russian forum, devoted to the problems of social tourism, will be held in Ufa on December 15-16. The work meeting on preparation for this wide-scaled project with the participation of all profiled ministries and agencies has take place in Moscow yesterday. The forum is planned within the frames of the federal program “Development of internal and external tourism in Russian Federation in 2011-2018”. The Federal Agency for Tourism suggested that the forum should be held in Ufa.

Development of social tourism and meeting the needs of Russian citizens in tourist services will be the main goals of the forum and the gathering “Regional goal-oriented programs as a part of the federal goal-oriented program” will take place within its frames.

It is worth mentioning that Bashkortostan is the only region in Russia, developing its own program for social tourism. Thanks to this project elderly people and people with disabilities get a chance to have a rest at Russian and foreign resorts and ordinary pensioners from Bashkiria could spend certain period of time in Turkey, paying really small sums for that – just about 5 thousand rubles and the rest was paid by the Republican budget. Some participants of the program preferred to have a rest at the Republican health centers and some left for other Russian cities. According to the program every traveler may choose the route at his own discretion.
