Graduates of the Bashkir State Medical University have become acquainted with the draft project “Provincial Doctor”

Bashkortostan can become included into the list of the Russian regions, where the unprecedented project, patronized by the political party “United Russia”, is to be developed. The graduates of the Bashkir State Medical University have become acquainted with the draft project today.

It is planned that the federal program “Provincial Doctor” will start working already beginning from January 1, 2012. The program includes special measures for attraction of young medical specialists to the countryside. Thus, every medic, wishing to work at the rural clinics during five years, may figure on the grant at one million rubles, allocated by the state. The leader of the political party “United Russia” and of the all-Russian National Front, the Prime-Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin has come out with such initiative.

The criteria for obtaining of such solid grants aren't yet determined and it is also not clear what category of medics exactly will be equated with the rural specialists. The program is still found on the formation stage but by the end of this year it will be finalized and its clauses will be available in free access in internet.
