The 100th anniversary of Bashkir poet Galim Salyam to be marked in Chelyabinsk region

The interregional conference, devoted to the 100th anniversary from the birthday of a prominent Bashkir poet, journalist and public activist Galim Salyam, will take place on September 23 in Chelyabinsk region, the secretary of Bashkortostan’s Permanent Representative Office in Chelyabinsk region Michael Khabirov reported to “Bashinform”.
Members of the Writers Union RB and representatives of the Bashkir literary society by M. Akmullah in Chelyabinsk region will take part in the forum. The arrival of the Permanent Representative RB in Chelyabinsk region Mukhamatulla Khafizov is expected too.
For the reference: Galim Salyam (Salyam Galimovitch Galimov) is a Bashkir Soviet poet and publicist. He was born in January 2011 in the family of a mullah. He lost his father too early and started working when he was just 10 years old. He has finished a pedagogical institute in 1937. For the first time his works were published in 1929. In his works he demonstrated formation of human relations and the bloom of personality in socialist times (the collection “The Trouble” (1932), the poems “Three Songs” (1935), “The Gyrfalcon” (1936), “The Morning of the Republic” (1936) and “The Child” (1939). He is the author of an anti-fascist poem “Through the Years” (1937). He has died in 1939 in Leningrad.
