Bashkortostan actively prepares itself for holding several big sports world-scaled events

The working meeting under the chairmanship of the Vice-Premier Zugura Rakhmatullina, where preparations for the forthcoming big sports events in the Republic – the world summer biathlon championship-2012, the junior ice hockey world championship-2013, the international children’s games-2013 and the World Non-Olympic and National Sports Games-2021 – were under discussion, has taken place in the Government House of Bashkortostan with participation of the representatives of the Government RB, the Ministry of youth policy and sport, the Ministry of communication and mass communications RB, Ufa administration and others.

Special attention was paid to the financing of the forthcoming competitions. It is expected that the means will be allocated fr om the consolidated budget, from federal and Republican sources and from the means, attracted from aside.

The Minister of youth policy and sport RB Alexander Nikerin has dwelt in details upon reconstruction of the Ufa Sports Palace and upon partially restorative works in the sports center “Biathlon”, wh ere several competitions are scheduled. The deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB Zugura Rakhmatullina has underscored that the interdepartmental interaction on preparation for these wide-scaled sports events with attraction of business and public organizations is necessary.
