Vladimir Putin offered to allocate one million rubles of travelling allowance to medics

The Prime-Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin offered to allocate one million rubles of travelling allowance for the medics, which intended to work in the countryside under the stipulation that they would work there at least five years.
The head of the Russian Government has made such statement at the interregional conference of the political party “United Russia” in the town of Cherepovets (Vologda region), RBK reported.
“We have such means within the frames of the programs for modernization of health protection system, it will cost about 11 billion rubles” – RBK cites the Prime-Minister. According to Vladimir Putin the federal center will first of all support the regions, which “try and do something for their medics themselves”.
In opinion of Vladimir Putin this measure will permit to reduce the shortage of medical workers in the countryside at the least twice already in 2012. At present time this shortage makes up about 22 thousand specialists.
