The contest of Halal foods to be held in Ufa

The first interregional contest-tasting of Halal foods “Ufa Halal 2011” will be held in Ufa. It is initiated by the Halal Standard Committee under the Clerical Muslim Dept RB jointly with the state trade and consumer rights protection committee RB, the Ministry of agriculture RB and the Trade-Industry Chamber RB with the assistance of the Council for public-confessional relations under the President RB.

The head of the Halal Standard Committee Timur Shangareev reported to the news agency “Bashinform” that the main goal of the contest was the assistance to the rise of competitiveness of the foods, produced in accordance with the Muslim traditions, the advancement of these foods in internal and external markets and introduction of the newest technologies to Halal production.

The contest will be held on several sorts of foods: poultry products: sausages, semi-products, made of poultry meat, meat semi-products, confectionaries, butter products and other foods.

The winners will be rewarded with diplomas and receive the right for the use of the contest’s emblem on their food packages.

The Contest will take place on September 7.
