Germans of Bashkortostan will revere the memory of their compatriots
The meeting of the Germans, living on the territory of Bashkortostan, will take place in Ufa on Sunday, August 28. The action is traditional and devoted to the tragic events, traced 70 years back.
70 years ago in accordance with the decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR all Germans, living in Volga zone and the adjacent regions, have been resettled.
“According to the reliable sources, received by the military authority, there are thousands and dozens thousands spies and saboteurs among German population, inhabiting Volga zone, which have to explode bombs in the areas, inhabited by Germans, by the signal, sent from Germany”-said in the decree.
The zones in Novosibirsk, Omsk and Altai regions, in Kazakhstan and some neighboring territories have been allocated for the resettlers.
The resettlement of Germans in 1941 was just the beginning of the difficulties they had to withstand during the next years. All restrictions were removed from Soviet Germans only in 1956. As for the facts of cooperation of Soviet Germans with fascist Germany, the authority failed to discover it.
According to the population census-2022 8250 Germans live in Bashkortostan and the majority of them are the Germans, resettled here during the first years of the war, their children and grandchildren. They erected refineries, worked in the mines, performing hard work.
By the already existing tradition the Germans, living in Ufa, will recollect their parents and friends and will revere the memory of the lost, carrying a younger generation back to the tragic events in the history of German nation.
