Citizens of the northern part of Ufa suffer from refinery waste

The press-service of the Office of Public Prosecutor RB reports about numerous complaints against the polluted air, received by the Office during the July heat. The citizens of two northern districts of Ufa reported about strong smell of oil products. According to information of the “Bashkir meteorology and environment monitoring department” the pollution of the air with the refinery waste exceeded the norms two times in July.

In this connection the environmental Office of Public Prosecutor has held the special meeting, where the directors of JSC “UFANEFTEHIM”, JSC “Ufa Refinery”, JSC “NOVOIL” and JSC “UFAORGSINTEZ” were invited. As the Office of Public Prosecutor reports, the abovementioned enterprises undertook the measures on restriction of the atmospheric emissions.
