A honey festival to take place in Bashkortostan

The sweetest summer holiday – the honey festival – will take place in Bashkortostan on July 23. Such festival will be held in the Republic for the first time. It is initiated by the Bashkir historical-cultural center “Saitbaba” in the village under the same name in Gafuriisky region RB with the assistance of the Friendship House RB and the regional administration.

The festival will be devoted to the Year for consolidation of international accord in Republic of Bashkortostan and its aim is the acquaintance of all guests with the variety of honey sorts and tastes and with the medicinal properties of honey.

Honey is considered a visit card of Bashkortostan and by its medicinal and taste qualities and by the staff of microelements the Bashkir honey has no analogues in the world. The unique qualities of local honey are explained by the natural and climatic conditions in Bashkortostan and by its rich and original flora.
