Electronic Book of Memory about war heroes is to be issued in internet

All participants of the contest “The page of family glory-2011” may insert their own pages in the electronic Book of Memory about heroes of the Great Patriotic War. This international contest is held by the Russian Union of Journalists and by the Moscow State University by M.V. Lomonosov with the assistance of several public organizations. This already traditional project is devoted to the 70th anniversary of the battle for Moscow in 2011.

There are no any professional or age limitations for participation in the contest. The jury will consider literary works (articles, short stories, poems, novels, memoirs, presentations etc), photo-works, podcasts (in the form of separate sound and video files), sites and blogs.

The participants should register themselves on the contest’s site www.pobeda.vif2.ru and upload their materials.

The results are planned to be summed up in the beginning of December 2011 at the solemn forum of the Russian Union of Journalists, devoted to the 70th anniversary of the defeat of the German-fascist troops under Moscow.

More than 1000 authors have taken part in the contest-2010, devoted to the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory – from veterans to junior pupils. More than 100 people have become laureates in various nominations and some of them have been rewarded with the diplomas of the Russian Federation Council and the Russian Union of Journalists.
