The “Third Age National University” program is approved in Bashkortostan
The President RB Rustem Khamitov approved the Republican goal-oriented program “The Third Age National University”.
The rise of quality of life of elderly people due to organization of the corresponding education system and due to making the conditions for their adaptation to life in modern society is the main goal of the program.
The program’s actions include the following directions: “Teaching in computer basics”, “English language acquisition”, “Mastering of family psychology basics”, “The basic methods of personal hygiene and medical physical training”.
As it is said in the document, the disciplines are chosen taking the wishes of the elderly people into account. Such wishes were spoken out in the course of the poll, held in various regions and towns RB. On the municipal level the basic programs can be expanded due to other directions and subjects.
Similar training is already performed in the towns of Tuimazy and Salavat and in one of the districts of Ufa at the expense of the off-budget means. The experience shows that pensioners are interested in obtaining new knowledge, in mastering new technologies and methods.
