Bashkortostan figures on obtaining 734 million rubles from federal budget for “United Russia” project “Education”

Bashkortostan figures on obtaining 734 million rubles for a new “United Russia” project “Education” in 2011. This means will be spent for strengthening the material and technical base of schools, for school equipment and for the rise of teachers’ level of skills. The head of “United Russia” regional committee Rustam Ishmukhametov and the deputy chairman of the State Council-Kurultay-RB, regional curator of the party’s project “Education” Lilia Gumerova told about that in the course of their press-conference in “Bashinform”.

The “United Russia” project “Education” starts on September 2011, i.e. three months are left for its preparation. The money has to be transferred to the regions already in August, so the question concerning preparation of the regional programs for education modernization is the key one.

Rustem Ishmukhametov has said the project is aimed first of all at the rise of the teachers’ social status as well as of their wages.

“In average the Republican teachers earn 12692 rubles monthly today and in my opinion this sum fails to meet those requirements, set up by the social customers, i.e. by parents” – he said – “At present time about 43 thousand pedagogues work in the Republic and I am sure that 99% of them work not for the sake of salaries. These are the people, who like children and work for the future. Education is a strategic resource and our children are investments to the future and today our party makes everything to raise the prestige of the teacher’s profession. By September 1 we intend to raise the wages of teachers in the regions by 30%. Besides, the regional “United Russia” division together with the Republican authorities will strive for making the level of teachers’ wages correspondent to the average salary in Bashkortostan, i.e. these wages have to reach 16-17 thousand rubles”.
