Bashkir State Pedagogical University prepares to open UNESCO chair

The Bashkir State Pedagogical University by Miftahetdin Akmullah prepares to open UNESCO chair and the direction the University positions itself is related to formation of the international educational area.

The final decision concerning opening UNESCO chair will be made in autumn 2011 and in summer the University intends to introduce all necessary documents to UNESCO secretariat.

The University’s pro-rector, Doctor of philology, Professor Raisa Khairullina reports the associated UNESCO center on micro-scientific experiment and the UNESCO scientific-educational center “Academic student mobility in dialogue of global education cultures” were already opened at the University. These and many other projects were presented on Wednesday, April 6, to the delegation of the Russian Commission on UNESCO affairs, found in Ufa nowadays.

Within the frames of the mission the guests have paid a visit to the Bashkir State Pedagogical University. Forestalling the presentation the pro-rector of the University Maxim Mikhailov has shortly told about BGPU. More than 13 thousand students study here at present time and almost 1000 pedagogues involved in the educational process. The pro-rector has expressed assurance that this meeting will help to widen the contacts between the University and UNESCO.
