Contest “The best library of the capital-2011” started in Ufa

The contest “The best library of the capital-2011” started in Ufa within the frames of the VI Republican contest “The best library of Republic of Bashkortostan-2011”. The contest is held among the municipal libraries of Ufa.

The contest is organized in the form of the selection of the best works, directed to creation of literary tourism over the places of interest in Ufa – a sort of online resource, devoted to literary local lore science. The works can be concerned with the birthplaces, workplaces and creation of Bashkir writers, writers of Russia and the world, folklore monuments, literary heroes and places of interest and with the geography of the libraries’ location.

The competent jury will select the best works, made by the librarians. The originality of the theme, innovational approaches and the ability to use new IT will be taken into account.

The winning works will be sent to the expert commission of the VI Republican contest “The best library RB-2011”. Besides, the winning libraries will participate in the library marathon and in making “The Literary Map RB”, where the literary tourist routes are to be indicated.

The awarding ceremony will take place on May 27, the Ufa administration press-service reported.
