Regional stage of all-Russian anti-virus action to be held in Ufa

The regional stage of the all-Russian prophylactic action “Nose washing is a barrier for viruses” will be held in Ufa between March 21 and March 25 and it is initiated by the all-Russian public organization “The Nation Health League”.

Within the frames of this program the conference for the representative of medical institutions, medics of educational institutions and industrial enterprises will take place in Ufa. The main goal of the action is the reduction of sickness rate and improvement of population health thanks to various prophylactic measures, including the Russian medicinal set for nose washing, designed within the frames of the public program “Population Health”.

State statistics shows that people fall sick of the virus respiratory diseases and flu 2-3 times a year. At that the majority of Russians sick of these diseases “on legs” and this fact often leads to additional complications and sometimes even to lethal outcomes. Children usually sick of flu and acute respiratory diseases 6-8 times per year. The highest concentration of viruses is registered in big cities together with the unfavorable ecology so the specialists say up to 92% of all children in these cities are ill with flu the most often. For the first time this action has taken place in Novosibirsk and demonstrated quite positive results in prevention of flu and acute respiratory diseases. In 2011 the program has become the all-national, being supported by the regional ministries of health protection, which jointly with the Health League became its initiators. It is expected in the course of this year 35 biggest Russian cities will take part in the action “Nose washing is a barrier for viruses”. The action has already taken place in Yekaterinburg, Nizhniy Novgorod, Ulyanovsk and Magnitogorsk.
