Memorial tablet by Akhmet-Zaki Validi is opened in Ufa

Within the frames of Akhmet-Zaki Validi Days, devoted to the 120th anniversary of his birth, the memorial tablet by Akhmet-Zaki Validi – an outstanding scientist and politician – is installed in Ufa. The delegation of the International Turk Culture Organization (TURKSOY) arrived in our Republic to take part in the celebrations. The TURKSOY General Secretary Dusen Kaseinov, his deputy Fyrat Purtash and the deputy Minister of culture and tourism of Turkey Kemal Fakhir Gench have taken part in the solemn ceremony. The tablet is installed near the entrance to the National Library RB. It was opened by the deputy Prime-Minister of the Government RB, the acting Minister of education RB Zugura Rakhmatullina, the Minister of culture RB Oscar Abdrazakov and by the head of Ufa Kirovsky district administration Salavat Sagitov.

“2010 was the Year by Akhmet-Zaki Validi in TURKSOY countries. The opening of the memorial table is also dated to the year of our famous compatriot” – the division’s head of the Ministry of culture RB Elvira Abdulina said – “It look quite fair that the tablet is installed at the National Library RB. The main book depository of the Republic is named after Akhmet-Zaki Validi and here the unique collection of his works is stored”.
