Other 140 children with restricted abilities started mastering school program through internet

Active development of one of the directions in the national project “Education” – distant education for children with disabilities – is going on in Bashkiria.

As the news agency “Bashinform” reported earlier, the distant education center for children with disabilities stated working in 2010 at the Ufa special (correctional) boarding school N13. Those children, who can’t attend school lessons because of their state of health and need to learn school subjects at home, study these subjects with the help of computer technologies in the center. On September 1 the computer education was organized for 57 children. Other 140 pupils joined the program in 2011.

“We opened three divisions of the distant education center in Neftekamsk, Sterlitamac and Tuimazy” – the senior specialist of the special education dept of the Ministry of education RB Lubov Eremeeva says – “and these divisions also serve the children from nearby settlements. Till the end of this year we intend to open other three divisions – in Sibay, Beloretsk and in Duvansky region RB”.

It is worth mentioning that the teachers come to the children for teaching them two subjects – Russian language and mathematics and the children learn other subjects of the obligatory school program through internet. Singing, painting and shop classes are also included into the distant education program.
